Importance of keywords in the SEO world is something which the SEO experts are most familiar about. Blogs are meant to make things easy to understand and short. I would like to give all my clarification regarding keywords and why the keywords are considered to be such an important concept of SEO. If you study tits and bits of SEO it is of no use. 3. Keyword rich posts are topic specific and are considered to be standard and helpful to the user (according to the Engineers of Google).
4. Google and many other search engines give prime weight-age to the keyword which is being targeted by your post. Keyword density plays a major role for the search engines to decide what your blog is mainly speaking about.
5. With keywords and keyword phrases distributed evenly acrosss the whole document you are telling Google what keyword phrase you want to rank for in its search index.
6. A keyword phrase in the title tells Google a specific phrase which Google indexes in its index or creates it if it does not already exist (this definitely makes your post first in the search index).
7. Keywords pointing to other sites through anchor text tells Google what you expect your visitors to be interested in!
8. The keyword phrase in the anchor text which you use in order to build one-way backlinks from other sites to your site helps Google to understand its importance as a vote from a standard site (which is also competing for the same keyword) to a piece of valuable information.

People generally see the fact: how important is it for Google and end up doing lots of link building in their attempt to impress the search engine and in turn end up getting banned by the major search engine giant. What people forget to watch is: keyword is a useful SEO strategy to be used just because it is stressed upon by Google. Even today I have seen many people stuffing too many keywords and getting lots and lots of traffic, comments and money of course even if the post has not been properly structured.
