Keyword And Keyword Density

Keywords and keyword density is one of the most debated topics in white, grey and the black hat world. SEO experts know about keyword, keyword density and many other things which affect the SEO status of a site. The one whi knows how to play with keywords and keywords density is regarded to be a real SEO expert (in my words a black hat expert).

Once upon a time the significance of keyword density was such a bane that people started stuffing their articles with as many keywords as possible. To make things easier for the reader certain keywords which were stuffed at odd places were given the background color of the article so that the article looked blank at certain places which the visitors ignored very quickly. But now, if you change the color of your keyword to match it with the background color your site will be de-indexed from Google on the suspicion of spamming.

The general question which haunts every publisher is how much keyword density is too much keyword density. Experts who have written SEO books claim that anything between 5-7% is ideal and should not alarm the search engines. But, what percentage gets higher rank? The thing is up to you to decide. Web publishing and SEO is all about trial and error. Do not do your trial and error of keyword density with your permanent site. Instead do it with a site which is a temporary site and is still under construction and still gaining popularity.

It is always better to go for higher keyword density, but, the problem is readability. Even though I find many blogs which have a high keyword density which does not irritate its visitors so much. Some web masters purposefully make their blogs irritating by stuffing many keywords into it and to get higher keyword density which would thus give them a higher ranking in the organic results of Google. And, this also has an advantage that people who are looking forward to leave their sites will do so through the ads that they have on their site and thus make some quick money from their keyword rich blogs. Visitors are welcome to share any information regarding keywords and keyword density in the comments section.

Keywords And SEO

If you have read a any book regarding search engine optimisation (SEO) you must have noted the significance of keywords in it. but proper search engine optimisation is very much necessary if you want a sudden surge in the traffic status of your site. If you put your site on SEO drugs Google will think that you are trying to spam it and it will ban you blog for no clear reason.

Keywords play a very important in SEO (search engine optimisation). The higher the keyword density or keyword phrase density in the topic greater will be the chance that your site be ranked higher in the organic search results of google. Isn't this what SEO actually means. Does this mean that higher keyword density means higher rank? Actually I would love it if it were so. But, the truth is actually something else.

There are certain places where the keyword density and keyword phrase density have a larger effect on the search results of Google. Let us see what are the important places in a blog post which should have a proportionately higher keyword density placed in it.

First and foremost make sure that you title contains the exact search phrase which your user will type while searching for your post. The title should tell your user exactly what the whole post is about (hence the main keyword phrase should always be clearly typed in your post title).

The next part where you can stuff a maximum of three keywords or keyword phrases is your meta-tag. though this may not really help you in getting a higher traffic, but, it will definitely help the search engine to know the keywords and keyword phrases that you have targeted in your post.

The next most important places where you keyword and keyword phrase density should be high is the first and the last paragraph of your post. How much should be the keyword density? This part of keyword SEO will be spoken about in yet another post. Additional information about keywords and SEO can be left behind in the comments section.

Keywords | Importance Of Keywords

Keywords and their significance while optimising a web site play a vital role in bringing traffic to a website. If you think that people will come from Google to your blog searching for the keyword you have targeted then you are slightly wrong. In this article we will see keywords and their importance from a search engine's point of view.

If you are familiar with the working of a search engine you must know how the search engine scans through the whole document to extract what it thinks is the most important part of your document. There are many factors that affect your rank in the search engines.

Keyword phrase: This is one topic which I would like to stress a lot on. The first thing which the search engine searches on your site is the primary keyword. A blog dealing with cars with have its primary keyword as car or cars. Then the keyword phrase will be searched for within the document. Keyword phrase is generally found in titles. For example if there is a post about latest cars, then latest cars will be the keyword phrase within the document.

Keyword relevancy: Google will have indexed several pages about cars. These sites will be very old and will have a very strong effect on the ranking that you get on the Google index. But, the good news is that you can actually come first in the search results of Google for the keyword phrase latest cars (provided that you have done proper seo to this keyword phrase). Your document will be given weight-age depending on the number of times that you have used this keyword in your document. Thus the more the number of times a keyword phrase repeats in a document the higher will be the rank given to it by Google.

Importance of keywords in links: It is a well known fact that Google sends its spiders to a few blogs many a times as they are updated very quickly from time to time. If you plan to get some quick traffic to your blog you need to put the link of your blog in these sites. Some people prefer doing article marketing for promotion yet other find social book-marking to be an easy task. In both the cases you need to put the link of your blog on those sites for which you need an anchor text. If you use your keyword or keyword phrase in this document you site will get a boost in its ranking for the keyword through which Google will enter your site! This works out very well and tells you avbout the importance of keywords very quickly. Also view the following new posts

Keyword research is one of the toughest and most important part of a SEO strategy. Every SEO effort starts with keyword research. Ask any person doing SEO to optimise your blog and he will start his work with keyword research. Let us take a close look at what this keyword research is all about?

Keyword research requires you to have a keyword research tool first. There are many sites which offer this feature to you. One of the most important features of a keyword research tool is the ease of use. Although all the keyword research tools will be easy to use, it is up to you to choose whether you will opt for a free tool or a paid one.

The best keyword research tool so far has been Google keywords research tool which is basically designed for Google Adwords customers of Google. This is one of the greatest tools I have met till today and always tops my list. Whatever keyword you want to inspect just enter it into this live web page and Google will do the rest for you.

Please note that there is a competitors section in this site. this section is my favorite section as it tells you all about the number of competitors in the market and the number of impressions that the particular search term gets in the Google search engine.

That's it. You just need to choose one keyword research term which has high demand and less competitors. Half the work is done. The rest half of the keyword research includes promoting your post to get high ranking in google for the keyword phrase that you are competiting for after looking into your keyword research tool. Keyword research is one of the most important part of SEO. Rest of the keyword research is about the keyword density that is required to get the maximum benefit out of your blog.
